Ripatransone

Ripatransone, city of wine and oil has been awarded an orange flag recognized by the TCI, stands on a high hill (494 m).
The geographical location has earned the city the nickname of the "Belvedere Piceno", due to the extremely large and impressive panoramic view it offers, ranging from the Gran Sasso and Monti Sibillini to the Conero and from the Gargano, to the Dalmatian coast.
It's only 12 km from the sea, 15 km from the Mount of the Ascension, 40 km from the Parco dei Monti Sibillini.

The town centre is medieval, with Renaissance and Baroque buildings there are also eighteenth century and late nineteenth century mansions, especially visible along the Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, the main road which goes through the town from north to south.
There are numerous towers, gates and the remains of a screen. Ripatransone is one of the richest and most articulate boundary walls of Le Marche.
Numerous public and private museums testify to the ability to preserve and protect the local records.

In the maze of narrow streets bordering the Piazza XX Settembre is located a very curious tourists attraction: the narrowest alley in Italy, 43 cm wide at the mouth, but irregularly, in the middle it is only 38 cm wide.
